I stopped coming to this location, even though is conveniently close to work. It's Chili's, enough said, right? Well, this chain need not be scrapped for its name - some locations are better than others; unfortunately, the opposite is also true. This Baton Rouge location is just awful: slow, inadequate service; bad, bland food; incompetent staff; and did I mention the bad, slow service? As I stated before, I used to come here because it was convenient, but after so many bad episodes where my order was altogether wrong, the staff didn't know how to apply coupons to the correct check/credit card, and to the time it took to get my order (even when the entire place had just three tables!!!). Chili's will unfortunately continue to be, at least for me, a place that you go to when you pull off the interstate on your way to a faraway destination or when there's absolutely nowhere else to go when you are stuck in Podunk, Anywhere, USA.

My waitress was very understanding when I changed my order and I highly recommend the Cajun chicken pasta on the two for $20 menu. Also the blackberry tea was delicious even to my girlfriend who hates basically every tea I've asked her to try.

Chili's food is usually OK but for whatever reason the food at this location lacked....pizzazz. Went out with the family for a quick dinner. Positives: The waitress was really nice! Was able to remember what we ordered without writing it down (oooh ahhhh!) Negatives: The food, the amount of time it took us to pay the bill. All in all the only person satisfied with the food would be me and that's because I ordered unlimited soup and salad. Kinda hard to screw up LOL. Brother ordered cajun pasta, there was nothing "cajun" about it. Tasted like watered down chicken alfredo. Wasn't even hot, could tell it was microwaved and not even correctly. Sister ordered chicken tenders. She didn't even end up eating most of it saying it tasted "yucky". I mean for the most part it IS a Chili's and YES the food will be microwaved but they could at least microwave it to the proper temp LOL.

Service is terrible. Almost every single time we have gone to this Chilis is EMPTY. (For good reason) What makes no sense is, if the place empty....why does it take more than 30 minutes to have 1 appetizer and 2 fish tacos ready and served? Makes no sense. We ordered the appetizer trio (all southwest egg-rolls(SO GOOD))...the waitress didn't give us plates or utensils...like Hello? We were so hungry and ready to leave this sad place we didn't even bother asking. Please don't waste your time coming here. Saddest Chilis EVER.

Updated menu & decor. I had my doubts! Chili's was used to be a "go-to" for me when I traveled frequently. I had a very disappointing experience at a Chili's in San Jose. I hadn't given them a chance to redeem themselves. Wednesday night about 7PM, nearly empty. I sat in the bar. I noticed the updated decor right away, nice! I ordered a Craft Burger. It arrived quickly & cooked to order! I really liked the dill pickles! Tasted really fresh! Not too "dilly" & a little garlicky! Service was awesome. I used the table-top kiosk to pay. If the Kali locations are as good as this location, it might be a "go-to" for me again!

They have definitely updated everything since I've last been here ***nutrition info is online** which is great. Service wasn't so great. Like at all. Our server didn't check on us and didn't pick up our dishes when we were done. Food was decent. I like their new menu. I wasn't feeling good so I just got sprite & soup. But I tried a artichoke dip and salsa - both were pretty good. My soup was good, I would come back.

It's been about a year since we've eaten at a Chilis. Their menu has changed and I tried the three enchiladas dinner. It was ok, certainly not worth going out of the way for. Some salsa served with the enchiladas would have been nice. Service was ok, but the food did take forever to come out. My son completely ate his meal before my wife's and mine came out. They have a little computer thing now on the tables, my son (5) started playing with it, at checkout time we learned it cost $0.99 for the game he played... One good point is you can pay your bill without waiting for server to bring the check and ring it up, but it does remove a "personal element" from the dining experience that I enjoy and missed.

We often meet friends at this Chilis because it is convenient to all of us, and ... Well.. fact is fact... Who doesn't like Chilis? But for the first time ever we had to leave before ordering food because it was so COLD in the bar area where we were seated that we couldn't tolerate it. And yes... We did mention it to our waitress who apologized saying that it was necessary to keep this section of the restaurant that cold because the kitchen stayed too warm otherwise. This is Louisiana ... it's summer already! But why should we have to wear coats to be comfortable in this place??? After stepping outside twice to warm up, we finally gave up, closed our tab, and went to another place to order food. Very disappointing...

HORRIBLE! I attempted to order several to go orders and WHAT A NIGHTMARE. First off, evidently the Mobile Menu for this restaurant is totally outdated. And when I was ordering, I was basically told I was crazy and the item I was ordering wasn't on the mobile app, never was on the mobile app. Blah Blah Blah. After 3 phone calls to order, I went next door to pick up the food (we had 10 or more dinners & apps), so I bring my mobile phone with me and ask to speak to manager and showed him the app. He acted like he could care less. How he became a manager is beyond me. Jeezum. Then one of the girls who was rude on the phone earlier came over to put her 2 cents in and I asked her to go away. The only person with a brain in this situation was the bartender who was great. Then, we unpack our orders and found several mistakes. How do you substitute large containers of ranch dressing for salsa???? Then we had no to go plastic ware either. We would NEVER return here. And to top it all off, the food sucked.

They suck! In fact I've never been to a Chilis that was horrible on all accounts, when you enter you are greeted with nothing, the hostess was talking with co workers about plans for night, when she did look up, no smile, and just said "name" then there was food all over the floors and seats, we asked about sitting in the bar area, lots of tables but all dirty, and the servers walked at a snails pace, after being seated we thought ok this girl at least is smiling, it took her 15 minutes to come back over to us and when we didn't like a margarita and wanted something different that's when things went south, nasty, rude, rolled eyes, didn't stay to hear other questions and concerns, didn't care, then the roach appeared! I don't want to eat or pay for anything, gross discussing, only if you are coming out of 30 day starvation from the desert would I say go there, but I'm not sure the roaches will let you eat

The food was decent, but the service was pretty bad. There were plenty of open tables when we arrived, but we waited 30 minutes for a table. It turns out that the hostess got fired while we were waiting. The waitress wasn't much better, but they seemed understaffed for a Saturday night. We were there for over 2 hours. But the company was great!

This is a nice Chili's located at the Tanger Outlets just outside of Baton Rouge. The building interior is nice, the service is good, and the food is just what I would expect. This place is usually busy when I stop in, so expect a wait... its one of the few sit down restaurants in the area and gets a lot of business from the outlet visitors. BOTTOM LINE: A solid Chili's experience.

Half of the tables empty and its a twenty minute wait at 9:00 at night? Hire a manager.

The food here is mediocre. Too many options. Perhaps focus more on a smaller menu and make the items better. Also, we had a semi large party and the food came out at three separate times. No silverware or side plates. Underwhelmed.

I eat at Chili's fairly often while traveling for work. This is one of the most outdated and dirty looking restaurants. Floors need to be cleaned, seats are torn, bathroom stinks, & faucets are nasty. Service was not bad & food was good.

It took over 2 hours to get our food. A different waitress had to do our refills because they never came. It took over 40 minutes to get our entrees after the appetizers finally came. Most of the tables were empty so it's not like they were really busy. Also there were people who came in after us who got there food before we did. The silverware was dirty and looked like it hadn't been washed. I would not recommend eating here if you don't have hours to wait around.

Came during happy hour in bar area, sat quick and had a cold beer in my hand within 60 seconds , me like . The service was good, atmosphere was a little down, may just have been this particular day. I opted for a tilapia plate which was good and a side of veggies ( ok here ). Location is great, if staying in one of the 4 to 5 local hotels. It was next door to a Courtyard. The food was cooked to order an I will not complain bout that. Would I eat here again, yes, but there's a ton of other options to explore first. Good happy hour deals!!!!!!!

This Chili's has gone down hill in the 2 years I've eaten here. I like to bring clients and employees here because its convenient and the menu has something for everyone. But this place needs new management and lessons in service. The last time we went for lunch, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated because there was only one person there to seat us. The sad thing is that they were not busy. 15 minutes after placing our order, the waitress said that one of our orders was overlooked and that they were cooking it right away. In a hurry due to our lunch break, we got up and left. Only then were we greeted by the manager, who did not offer an apology or anything to make me want to return.

I'm giving this chillies a 5 star when I weigh it against other chillies as well as its neighboring establishments. The service is great here, they go the extra mile to keep it clean (I saw that finger swiping test and second cleaning!)... and, wait for it... Happy hour till 10? What? Did I read that right? YES you did!
